Westmoreland Community FCU sponsored a Career Discovery Day for 360 fifth grade students from Westmoreland County schools. This day provided students with dynamic and tangible experiences that facilitate a connection between their academic classes and professional endeavors in the future. They were able to be engaged in many activities that gave them a glimpse of the opportunities they could have in life as an adult.
Hutch’s taxidermy, Brittany Hoke, WTAE news reporter, a Comcast technician, Dr. Carla Capozzi, Orthodontist, PA State Trooper Steve Limani and a Computer Aided Drafting and Designer were just a few of the occupations the students had the opportunity to learn about. WCFCU along with many professionals from our community are investing in our youth’s future……..“People Helping People”!
